ShopRite of Chatham’s in-store registered dietitian, Tory Stroker, will teach a class on stress management through diet and meditation at the Madison Senior Center. Stroker will discuss the techniques and benefits of mindful eating, provide exercises to practice and demonstrate and sample some brain-boosting breakfast dishes. Following Stroker’s demonstration, QIRevolution instructor, Bianca Godoy, will lead the class through the practice of Qigong and meditation.
The class is free and open to all Madison residents and non-residents. Participants can register by contacting the Madison Senior Center at 973-593-3095.
This class merges meditation and diet, providing an in-depth dive into mindfulness and how to practice it not only physically but also through nutrition. ShopRite stores offer a variety of complementary health and wellness services, and its team of in-store registered dietitians work directly with customers to educate them on healthier food choices by hosting cooking classes and community workshops, and providing free, personalized nutrition counseling.
