Tune into Tenafly
Forget the big city—your next night out on the town could mean a trip to Tenafly.
Forget the big city—your next night out on the town could mean a trip to Tenafly. Already home to a quaint movie theater, diverse dining establishments and mom-and-pop shops, Tenafly has welcomed into the neighborhood new boutiques, eateries and specialty stores. In fact, more than a dozen new storefronts have opened up in the past year.
Among the new businesses is independent coffeehouse Tenafly Coffee Company (35 Highwood Ave., 201.569.1461; ridgewoodcoffeecompany.com). The cold brews and lattes for years have been a hit at their sister shop, Ridgewood Coffee Company, for years, and they quickly have developed a following in the eastern part of Bergen County.
Show off your artistic abilities at My Own Masterpiece (1 Hillside Ave., 201.906.6574; myownmasterpiecetenafly.com). The studio provides art classes—painting, drawing, sculpting and more—for adults and children of all skill levels.
New to restaurant row is Spanish kitchen Sayola (50 Prospect Ter., 201.871.2182; sayolarestaurant.com), with Asian fusion specialist I Fish preparing its grand opening at the former Friendly’s location (114 County Rd.).
"There are so many must-try items at Tenafly Coffee Company, from the hot and cold
drinks to the pastries. I can’t wait to get through them all.” —Kevin Cheung, 29, Closter
