The 2018 mid-term election is seen as a critical event by all parties and this non-partisan presentation will provide attendees of any age with very specific and actionable strategies and resources regarding how one can impact the mid-term election in New Jersey and across the country. These strategies include and are not limited to how individuals can identify political campaigns of interest, how to use one’s network effectively while having a voice in New Jersey and non-New Jersey elections, the specific skills one might use to have an impact on targeted campaigns, the role of non-political leadership experience on election outcomes, and how to identify organizations to work through who support your political views. Attendees will receive a handout outlining these strategies and resources.
About the presenter:
As a leadership development and career coach, Peter Prichard has helped thousands of individuals from six continents to have an impact regarding issues of interest to them. He has taught courses and workshops at New York University, Columbia University, Johns Hopkins University, Hunter College, and Montclair State University. Peter has been trained in how to do grass roots political organizing and volunteered on two presidential campaigns where he worked on the Iowa Caucus and New Hampshire Primary. He was asked to give a motivational speech by the campaign manager for one presidential candidate to hundreds of volunteers the week of that years New Hampshire presidential primary. Peter is publishing the book Having a Positive Impact During Uncertain Times on October 4th through the publishing subsidiary of Voice America where he has done multiple radio interviews.
